10/11yr old TWH Gelding – Grade – 15.1h
Pepper is a sweet boy who will be starting his refresher training here at RDR soon. He was used primarily for trails by his current owners and before that was in a home that did not put him first. I will be helping him find his person once he has had some tuning up, he will be available before his training is over with the stipulation that he must finish at least a month with me. Great potential trail partner, enjoys laid back rides and would benefit from a confident and calm rider who can help build up his self confidence. Pepper does have allergies so is currently on a Vitamin E supplement. Soaking his grain helps.
April 14: Pepper was fairly unfazed by his arrival to the facility and only reacted when the unloaded trailer made noises heading out. Even then he settled quickly. He got to meet the farm dog and has been interested in everything going on.
April 22: First ride since I evaluated him back at the end of 2023, he stood perfect for tacking and mounting. Was eager to head out around the property and behaved perfect. Did not like the blind but was brave when asked to approach it.
April 28: Experienced close proximity firearms (of a fairly high caliber) and did very well. Wouldn’t suggest shooting off him yet but could be something someone explores.
