Cider is very much a mare whose main human interaction has been minimal and mainly work based, affection confuses her but she loves a good face rub. She is going to be one that once she bonds, she is your ride or die partner. Cider is a thick beautiful mare and has a lot of potential with the right partner, once that halter is on, she is in work mode. She is an athletic and sensitive ride, quick learner and will understand what you’re asking when given a second to process. She has speed when asked but is fairly lazy; will do best with a laid back partner who has calm, quiet hands. She’s super smart, simply needs consistence and direction. We are working on getting comfortable with having our hind end touched and messed with, she is not aggressive, simply unsure.
Started under saddle, stands tied, to be tacked, groomed etc., lunges both ways (free and on the line), ground drives, easy keeper, does NOT like dogs, good in a stall or pasture.
Potential for: Trail buddy, Ranch horse, Liberty work
